Inspiration

30 intrepid participants embarked on a trip of a lifetime into the Highlands and glaciers of Iceland's jagged and barren Southern region. A year of planning in the works and departure day came on Friday, September 9th. I was packed and ready to roll with a full suitcase filled with adventure attire and a cardboard box filled with the attendees credentials and swag.

Last year I was invited to have a conversation with Dan Zehner, host of the online Podcast, Anthem of the Adventurer. It was an enjoyable experience conversing with him about adventure and adventuring. Initially, of course, he wanted to know more about my Subaru Outback; however, once that was out of the way, we got into a deeper conversation. And, as most of these kinds of conversations go, time ran out and we really didn’t get as deep into the subject as I would have liked.
